Practice Profile

I established Nethercott Opticians 20 years ago. My philosophy has always been to provide the highest standards of clinical care, whilst allowing plenty of time for individual attention. Since I personally carry out all eye tests, I am able to develop an understanding of each patient's needs. Some of my patients have been now coming to me throughout their childhood and early adult life!  

In order to give a thorough eye test, I allow up to 45 minutes for each appointment, and have invested in some of the best available optical technology. For example my digital fundus camera allows me to record and monitor changes to the back of the eye between one appointment and the next. I am also able to prescribe and supply contact lenses.

Being located in a small village, our  overheads are low by comparison with the larger high street Optometrists. We are therefore are able to be extremely competitive in all our pricing, whilst  offering the latest designer eyewear.

The larger premises have allowed space to include other medical practitioners who share my ideals for high standards of patient care. We now have a Chiropodist, Medical Hypnotherapist, Homeopath, Dietitian and Hearing Aid Consultant working with us. Introductions to these practitioners can be found elsewhere in this website.
