Optometrist / Owner -  Sally Nethercott MSc. FCOptom. Dip Th(AS).

I set up the Practice in 1985, shortly after moving  to Tadworth.  As many of my long standing patients will remember, I started the Practice in our house so that I could also look after my young children. In 1997, we moved into premises recently vacated by the NatWest Bank, and have not looked back since!

My philosophy is to provide the highest standards of clinical care, whilst allowing plenty of time for individual attention.   I have invested in some of the best available optical technology, and have also kept my own knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional education.  In 2005 I was awarded an MSc in Clinical Optometry. In 2007 I was awarded a Diploma in Therapeutics so I can now prescribe a limited list of Ophthalmic drugs. 

Dispensing Optician - Kelly Carr FBDO.

Kelly has 22 years experience in Optics, and joined us in 1999.  She has lots of enthusiasm and expertise in every aspect of dispensing,whether its high index lenses, coatings, tints. Adults or childrens, sports or saftey eyewear.

She was a runner up in the National Optician awards for Outstanding Dispensing Optician of the year 2007. 

Kelly is here everyday except Tuesdays.

Optometrist - Alvin Ieong MSc. MCOptom.

Alvin spends most of his week in clinics at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. His current clinics include glaucoma, Lasik/refractive surgery, paediatrics, medical contact lens and casualty. He is qualified to perform laser capsulotomy after cataract surgery and  laser iridotomy for glaucoma treatment.

He has supervised pre-registration students since qualifying in 1995 and has 3 publications in peer reviewed ophthalmology journals.

He enjoys spending his Thursdays giving our patients very comprehensive eye examinations and performing lacrimal syringing on those patients with problematic watery eyes.

Ken Nethercott MBE

Ken, (my father-in-law) has been with us for over 14 years. His job with us follows a career in the Royal Navy, from which he retired as a Lt Commander, MBE. He is known to some of our patients as "The Admiral".

Madeleine Larkin

Madeleine Larkin covers the desk on Saturday mornings. Having previously done work experience with us she has a good understanding of our practice

Jill Ralls

Jill has been with us for many years and is very interested in the fashion side of Optics. She is in charge of Reception Duties on Tuesdays.

Karen Walsh

Karen works Monday to Thursday on Reception. Although she only started in January 2011, we now wonder how we managed without her.
